It's hard enough finding a seat on BART, let alone long-lasting love.

But in the spirit of Valentine's Day, we decided to share this very real love story of Anna and Dentrick McNorton who unexpectedly met on a BART train some 19 years ago, fell in love, and got married.

Here it is:

Sad-Looking Panda Probably Bummed That Muni Is Late

Out of luck panda sleeping at bus stop. In need of a hug... #savethepandas

A photo posted by Dan Fredinburg (@danfredinburg) on

We've all been in this position before — waiting patiently for a Muni bus to show, albeit, looking a lot less adorable (and more disheveled) than this stuffed panda.

Instagram user @danfredinburg spotted this hapless commuter experiencing a public transit lull along 24th and South Van Ness the other day.

Bald-Headed Dog Tries to Lure Adopters With Toupee, Funny Hats (Update)

Posted By on Tue, Jan 20, 2015 at 1:35 PM

Breaking News, Jan, 23: We just learned that Neeners has been adopted by a loving family in Sacramento. They reportedly love him just as he is, without the toupee.

Original Story Jan.20: Poor Neeners has been stuck at the Animal Care and Control Shelter since September, with no potential takers in sight. It's been really hard for volunteers to watch this "staff favorite" repeatedly get passed over, considering he's young, sweet, and energetic.

Perhaps it's that bald spot on his head?

Great news: Mochi the stolen pup is back home with his owner — and the suspected dognapper is behind bars.

According to police, the pit bull was taken from its Gilbert Street home while her owner, David Baker snoozed Sunday night. The canine crook didn't make it too far, though. After all the buzz on social media about the crime, the suspect was busted last night, says Officer Grace Gatpandan.

Police arrested 31-year-old Melissa Perna Monday night on one count of felony burglary, felony possession of stolen property, and two misdemeanor narcotics charges.

Posted By on Wed, Dec 3, 2014 at 4:36 PM

In between rainstorms and grey skies over the last week, this guy managed to bring a little sunshine to the Embarcadero where he popped the question to his girlfriend with this surprise 3-minute dance to Bruno Mars "Marry You."

Obviously, you know the answer or else he probably wouldn't have posted this proud moment. Still, the music video is worth watching to the end:

Local Reindeer Look Displeased That Christmas Is Here

Posted By on Mon, Dec 1, 2014 at 1:28 PM

It appears you're not the only one who can't stand round-the-clock Christmas music. Pictured above are two sourpuss reindeer who recently arrived in San Francisco to help kick off the holiday season — and they're not thrilled about it.

San Francisco welcomed the four reindeer  — Belle, Holly, Peppermint, and Velvet — who traveled from Oregon where they spend the rest of the year on a ranch called Operation Santa Claus.

A scene this cute should be turned into a national holiday — where we all leave work and go watch zoo animals feast off your leftover Halloween pumpkins.

Over at the Oakland Zoo, truckloads of large, medium, and mini pumpkins have been added to animal diets, including pumpkin kabobs and frozen delicacies. Other creative uses of these pumpkins: gourd bowls filled with meat treats and puzzle feeders.

Walk into any animal shelter and you'll be assaulted by adorableness, as wagging tails beg for love. Specifically, your love.

But more often than not, it's the small, spunky puppies with paws to grow into that get all the attention — and eventually a home.

As if getting older isn't hard enough, being passed over for puppies makes life all that much more of a downer for senior dogs who are living at local animal shelters.

So here's your chance to right this wrong.
