It’s been a busy week for aggressive wildlife. Last Monday night, a pack of raccoons attacked a couple and their dog in the Richmond District. And this week, a coyote attacked a 3-year-old Bichon Frise named Eddie in Stern Grove.

Bruce Howard, Eddie’s owner, says he's a 62-year-old man who has been out of work since December and is draining his savings. He set up a GoFundMe page to defray the massive costs of Eddie’s treatment — initially estimated at $7,000 but now approaching $15,000 to $20,000. Eddie is in ICU at the Animal Internal Medicine Hospital in the Sunset District.

So far, Howard has raised nearly $8.000 in just one day. (Surely thanks to the photo of Eddie on the campaign page.)

Howard gives a shout out to the SFPD for their help in caring for Eddie after the attack:

I am overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that you have shown already. I wish I could really express the depth of my gratitude. I also wanted to let everybody know that the SFPD was fantastic. All of the officers had sincere sympathy. They were able to keep us calm while rescuing Eddie. I hope I'm not ruining their reputation by telling everybody how kind and gentle they can be:). I wish I knew their names so I could thank them personally. Without them there would be no Eddie. He is such a loving dog and we are truly best friends. His injuries are severe. He is currently in the ICU fighting for his life.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
