Neighbors in Nob Hill and Russian Hill are alerting the community of a serial groper. As North Beach News reports on Facebook, flyers headlined RAPIST have gone up on light poles around Nob Hill and Russian Hill, cautioning women that the assailant is still at large.

The flyers read:

Notice: there have recently been several attacks on females in this neighborhood. The assailant is still at large, and resident are urged to be vigilant at night.

Please make sure to report any unusual activity to the police, and take care to avoid dark places (one of the attacks was on the dark stairs on Filbert Street this past weekend).

Do NOT buzz anyone into your building without identifying them first. Your safety and the safety of your neighbors is at risk.

According to CBS 5, there have been at least 3 (and possibly 4) recent attacks that appear to be connected, with the earliest attack occurring in February 2015. Most of the incidents took place between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Victims report that the assailant groped them from behind before running away.

In March, police arrested 40-year-old Victor Vasquez-Cid after two women identified him as the perpetrator in a photo lineup. But Vasquez was cleared of all charges on July 2 when electronic work records proved he was at work as a dishwasher more than a mile away during the assaults he was accused of committing.

In Vasquez's case, reports of women being groped date back to August 2014. Commenters on Reddit have also sounded the alarm, with one woman claiming to have punched the assailant and another claiming she didn’t react at first because she thought a friend was surprising her with a hug.

Victims describe the assailant as a man in his 20's to late 30's, between 5’6" and 5’10" tall. Police are reportedly flooding the area with undercover cops in hopes of catching him.

Anyone with information is asked to call SFPD’s Special Victims Unit at 415-553-1361, the Antonymous Tiip Line at 415-575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
