A disturbing attack near Alamo Square Park last night left two men injured, one of them seriously.

As the Examiner reports, a 59-year-old man and his 61-year-old companion were walking near the intersection of Divisadero and Oak around 9:50 p.m. Thursday night when they crossed paths with two other men in their late teens or early 20’s. An altercation ensued (police haven’t released details yet), during which the young men reportedly attacked the two older men.

The 59-year-old man was struck on the head with a blunt object and stabbed in the chest with a “machete.” His 61-year-old companion was struck in the head several times with either a skateboard or a pipe. Both men were transported to SF General; the man who was stabbed remains in life-threatening condition.

The suspects fled on foot.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
