Republican politicians like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio are proclaiming themselves champions of the “sharing economy.” Why do Republican politicians stand up for companies like Uber and Instacart?

  • Technology can screw the poor much harder than politics can
  • They like the way tech companies don’t hire minorities
  • They bonded at the Ayn Rand book club
  • Pure, uncut cynicism
  • Republicans only just discovered apps
  • It’s the only way to get decent customer service
  • Their grandchildren won’t shut up about buying groceries online
  • Wherever there's a white kid with money, Rand Paul will be there

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
