A 5-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman are in critical condition this morning after they were struck by a car while walking near Stonestown Galleria yesterday afternoon.

Police say the women and the girl were walking at 20th Avenue and Buckingham Way at about 12:23 p.m. on Wednesday when an 86-year-old woman driving a Toyota Rav4 hit the pair. Both victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.  She has not been arrested, according to Officer Albie Esparza.
