Unconscious Man Found on San Francisco Street

A 52-year-old man is clinging to life this morning after police found him lying unconscious on a street near the Bayview District last night. 

Officer Albie Esparza says police were called out to the 2900 block of San Bruno Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. after witnesses spotted the unconscious man on the street. Witnesses told the cops they saw an unknown black man attempting to rob the victim as he lay in the street. 

The victim was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital with a life-threatening head injury.
