A man was reportedly slapped with a citation after he slapped a woman on the butt as she exited a Muni bus in the Balboa Park neighborhood.

Police say the woman was getting off the 29-Muni bus on the 400 block of Geneva when she saw an unknown man walking into her personal space. As she continued on her way to BART, she felt a slap on her behind. She turned around and saw the man who had been walking near her and shouted "don't touch me."

According to police, the woman ran into the Balboa BART station where an agent called BART police. The suspect didn't try to get away; in fact he was casually sitting on a bench outside the station when police arrived. They detained him ad cited the man for misdemeanor battery.

He was released after promising to appear in court.
