A San Francisco woman was brutally attacked by a man she claims had been stalking her for several months.

According to police reports, the woman came face-to-face with her stalked when she got off a Muni bus and was confronted by the suspect near Glen Park. The man reportedly tried to talk to her and when she pulled out her phone, presumably to call the cops, this enraged him.

"He rushed towards her, threw her on the ground and began assaulting her," police say. "The victim screamed at the top of her lungs as she was being beaten."

Several witnesses heard her screams and ran to help her as he dragged her behind a parked car on Baden Avenue. When he was confronted by the witnesses, the man abruptly stopped beating his victim and walked away with her cellphone saying “It's ok. She’s my girlfriend”

A few of those concerned witnesses followed the man until they saw a cop and pointed out the suspect. As officers jumped out the patrol car, the man started to run, however, he didn't get very far; the officers chased him down and took him into custody.

The woman later told the cops that she had befriended the suspect a few months ago after meeting him on her way home. They became friends and communicated once in a while, but after some time passed, she started to get a" bad vibe" from him. According to the victim, her new friend would randomly show up to meet her at her bus stop and insist on walking her home even when she refused.

Their friendship started to deteriorate because of his bad behavior. The more she pulled away, the more possessive and aggressive he got toward her, all the way up to the day of his arrest, police say.

The suspect was ultimately charged with multiple felony charges including assault, robbery and kidnapping.
