Cops Trying to Negotiate With Barricaded Man

Posted By on Fri, Jan 23, 2015 at 7:26 AM

Update:  Police realized the suspect wasn't actually inside the home where they had been for the last 12 hours. So they went over to where he was located (Ellis Street) at 8:57 a.m. and took him into custody.

Police have spent the night trying to talk a barricaded man from out of a house over in the city's Ingleside neighborhood.

The incident started last night at about 6 p.m. when the cops were called to Grafton and Ashton avenues on reports of a family argument. Things escalated and the subject holed himself inside the home. Police have not been able to talk the man out of the house for more than 12 hours, says Officer Grace Gatpandan.

As of this morning, police were still out there. No word on whether the man is armed.

Stay tuned.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
