From the creator of the bubble stroller — the one that floods the air with bubbles during Bay to Breakers — comes the Haight Ashbury Hippie Trap, an event event hosted by one man who claims he encapsulated the minds of hippies high on DMT.

The Hippie Trap Guy sprung his cylindrical light show to life just before Christmas Day, drawing revelers that gazed up beneath it and illuminating the Haight Street sidewalk until Saturday when a neighbor whose window faced the throbbing lights complained that it was disturbing the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.

"Turns out you can only please 99.9 percent of people," The Hippie Trap Guy said. "The 0.1 percent had their bedroom right next to it, so fair enough."

Apart from the uninteresting electronics and LEDs, this guy constructed the marvel from his daughter’s wiffle ball, two hula hoops he found on the street and spliced together, four dollar store Christmas decorations and a 2-by-4 plank. Oh, and twist ties, a plastic bucket and some clothes lines.

Marijuana Legalization's Biggest Foe Lives in San Francisco

There is no one reason why recreational cannabis is still illegal in California, the cradle of the country's experiment with legal marijuana. But as we watch Colorado count its marijuana tax dollars, as good an explanation as any can be found in San Francisco's Pacific Heights, in a $16.5 million mansion right off the Lyon Street steps.

This is where Sen. Dianne Feinstein hangs her hat when California's senior senator is not in Washington, where the 81-year old former San Francisco mayor is both highly regarded and feared. The Senate's oldest member chairs key committees — it was her Senate Intelligence committee that released last month's CIA torture report — and while she now wields less power under Republican control of the Senate, she is a household political name and not to be trifled with.

And she absolutely loathes the idea of marijuana legalization.

At least this time you can plan ahead. BART fired off a helpful warning this week, alerting riders that there will more than likely be "major delays" Friday morning at the Montgomery Street station, and thus everywhere else.

So if you're late to work, you can blame protesters who are organizing some kind of demonstration at 7 a.m. sharp.

"We suggest that our customers factor this potential service disruption into their travel plans, especially if those plans include travel through downtown San Francisco stations," BART officials said in a statement.

Guess what? San Francisco owns a drone. And, guess what? Last week, someone stole it.

The city's Recreation and Park Department confirmed to SF Weekly that a "quadcopter" equipped-with a Go-Pro camera and valued at upward of $3,000 was lifted from a city vehicle.

Recovering the purloined hardware has been left to the police — who do not have camera-equipped drones at their disposal and are likely envious of Rec and Park.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
