After a month-long investigation, San Francisco police say they've arrested 35-year-old Sean Yakota on suspicion of dressing up like a clown and robbing banks and pharmacies throughout the Bay Area.

Yakota liked to "dress up in quasi-clown outfits like wigs and glasses" every time he held-up a pharmacy or bank for pills and cash, according to San Francisco Police Department spokesperson Albie Esparza.

You'd think a professional robber would attempt to make himself a little more unnoticed.
On Nov. 26, police launched an undercover investigation, realizing through the man's distinctive costumes that the suspect was probably the same person responsible for 15 robberies throughout San Francisco and San Mateo counties.

Officers watched a man matching the robber's description as he loitered outside a pharmacy. The cops chased him on foot and arrested him that day. He was booked into County jail on robbery and firearm charges.

His wigs might have changed, but his MO was the same: When robbing pharmacies, Yakota allegedly flashed his pistol at the counter while demanding a cache of prescription pills. He was a bit stealthier (minus the clown disguise) at banks, where he walked in with a simple demand note that he handed off to the teller.

Photos of the San Francisco resident's ridiculous attire have not yet been released by police, but you bet we'll post them if and when we get some images.

Until then, enjoy the above flickr image and call the cops if you have any information on the clown robber at  (415) 553-9143, the anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
