A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help police catch those who broke into a Central Valley Foster Farms chicken ranch and clubbed 920 chickens to death.

The craziness happened on Sept. 20 when Fresno County sheriffs arrived at the farm in Caruthers and found the slaughtered birds. According to media reports, investigators believe the bird killers pulled back a fence to break into the chicken shed.

Once they got inside the coop, they used a golf club to beat more than 900 chickens to death. KTVU is reporting that Foster Farms says the attack appears to be random and is calling it "an unconscionable act of animal cruelty."
