After the sad shuttering of Esta Noche earlier this year, the noted 16th street gay bar is making a bit of a comeback — but only in the lightly fictionalized, prime cable version of San Francisco. On Thursday night, crews from HBO's Looking, who are back in town shooting season 2 until November, were at work outside the bar.

While we didn't see any famous butts occupying the director's chairs in front of Pancho Villa Taqueria. We did get a passing peek into the bar, which now appears to be an empty shell of its former self.

The bar, you'll remember, had a few cameos as Richie's workplace in season one. This setup might also be related to the breakout scene for that "Pupusa Cart Lady" role the show's casting coordinators were looking for a few months back: The cart outside of Panchita's #2 has become something of a late night staple on the block and everyone is already over burritos anyway.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
