Fake Boys & Girls Club Volunteers Scamming San Francisco Residents for Cash

Before you run off in search of trying to redeem yourself and do something kind, consider reading this first. It's a brief warning police at the Bayview station tweeted out today, asking all residents to refrain from handing over their hard-earned cash to Boys & Girls Club "volunteers" who have been out canvassing the streets for donations. 

The reason being is that these volunteers are actually crooks who could care less about the needs of San Francisco's kids. In fact, Rob Connolly, president of the Boys & Girls Club, fired of a letter explaining how it's against Boys & Girls Club policy to solicit donations on the street.

Per the letter:
We have heard reports of incidents in the Mission District, Fisherman's Wharf, the Fillmore District, the Richmond District and other locations.These individuals use our logo and present official-looking documents to claim legitimacy. Please know these individuals have no association with BGCSF.
