Update 8:16 a.m.:  BART spokesman Jim Allison says someone overheard a bomb threat this morning at about 7:40 a.m., forcing police to evacuate the entire station. Trains are stopping before the Coliseum station and officials are trying to set up a bus bridge to help commuters get to work.

Original Story 7:59 a.m.: We just got word from BART that the cops have closed down the Coliseum Station in Oakland, causing "major delays" throughout the BART system.

Details are scant right now, as BART officials did not define what kind of "police activity" is happening at the Coliseum Station.
No trains are running though the closed station and delays are affecting the Fremont Line in the Dublin / Pleasanton, Fremont, Richmond and San Francisco directions.

We'll tell you more when we know more.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
