Have You Seen This Suspected Arsonist?

A pyromaniac is on the loose in SoMa where a slew of fires have been ignited in the neighborhood over the last few days.

Police think they have a suspect, and this morning released still images from a surveillance camera which shows the man in question.

According to Sgt. Danielle Newman:

Several of these events have involved construction sites, occupied buildings, and garbage receptacles. The police department believes it has obtained information of an individual responsible for these incidents and is now requesting the public's assistance in identifying him.

If you have any information which may lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspect, please contact Inspector John Miller of the Arson Task Force at 415-920- 2944. You may also report the information anonymously at Text-A-Tip at TIP411. Begin the message with "SFPD" in the subject line or via the Police Department's 24 hour anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444.
