SF Weekly Goes All Comics For This Week's Issue

Posted By on Wed, Jun 11, 2014 at 1:36 PM

There's something different about the latest edition of SF Weekly: It's all comics. The news, the columns, the food coverage, and the music stories. Even Savage Love. The whole newspaper except for some listings and ads made into comics. Really.

We thought an SF Weekly Comics Issue would be neat. You can decide for yourself:

Grab an issue off the newsstands it looks fairly ravishing in print, if we may say so ourselves or peruse the userfriendly online edition. If

you're as excited about this as we are or even if you're not quite as excited about this as we are come celebrate the launch of our Comics Issue this Friday, June 13, at 111 Minna. There will be drinks, music, and blownup pages of

this weeks' paper that you can read without your glasses!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
