Gunfire Erupts in the Mission District This Morning

Update: Officer Gordon Shyy says the unidentified victim had gotten into a fight with a group of men on the street when one of them stabbed him in the leg. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to be just fine.

Shots were fired in the Mission District early this morning, sending at least one person to the hospital, according to police.

Details were limited as of 7 a.m., but Officer Gordon Shyy says that shots were fired at about 2 a.m. on the corner of 19th and Mission streets. At least one person was taken to the hospital, however, the condition of the victim is unknown.
