Authorities said they received a distress signal from a 30-foot boat named "Alma" around 4:15 a.m. The agency was combing the waters by Kirby Cove near the Golden Gate Bridge when it spotted the boat partially submerged near the rocks at Yellow Bluff. The boat eventually sank.
