Another Pedestrian Hit by Muni

A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a Muni light rail vehicle over the weekend, the second pedestrian hit in less than a week.

According to police, on Saturday just before 9 p.m., an inbound J train was near San Jose Avenue and St. Mary's when it hit a pedestrian who was reportedly walking int he tracks. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a life-threatening head injury.

Another pedestrian was hit last week after reportedly walking out on the tracks for unknown reasons, according to police. The man was taken to the hospital with major head trauma. To be fair, we did come across this message of hope via Twitter this morning:
