A name-brand crook - FLICKR/STARBOOZE

Anthony Robinson, better known as the "underwear burglar," was arrested again for allegedly pilfering a cache of bras and panties from a Union Square Victoria's Secret.

The Examiner reports that the 55-year-old lingerie aficionado went on his own personal shopping spree at least four times since he was released from jail for the same crime in February. Capt. Garret Tom told the newspaper on Tuesday that Robinson allegedly went to the store on April 25, April 29, and again on May 12 to steal underwear.

"Hidden Cash" Donor in S.F. Has Marijuana Counterpart in Seattle

Free something

The Bay Area is entranced and enthralled this week, our hearts and minds won and our attention focused on all that seemingly matters: the prospect of free money.

Anonymous money-giver dubbed "Hidden Cash" is continuing to stuff envelopes stuffed full of money in random, well-trod places in San Francisco. Interest is high: the Twitter feed advertising the location of free money, @HiddenCash, has 61,000 followers and counting. Somehow, this has yet to lead to a problem.

Elsewhere on the West Coast, a different kind of free green is being doled out. In Seattle, the Weed Fairy is making the rounds, planting free marijuana buds around town. Not as nice as cash, but at least handing out money is legal -- giving away weed could be a crime in San Francisco.

Waterfront War Turns Weird: Former PG&E Exec Claims Prop. B Opens "Environmental Loopholes"

Shots fired in this war...

San Francisco voters tend to be San Francisco something-elses come off-season, municipal elections. We have just such an election coming up on June 3 and, if history is a precedent, perhaps fewer than one in four members of the electorate will bother to cast a ballot.

This year's election is highlighted by two contentious issues: The primary in the David vs. David Assembly battle and the ongoing War of the Waterfront

A good deal of money and vitriol has been poured into both of these conflicts. The latter took a step into odd territory of late, however, with a campaign video featuring a "community advocate" claiming Proposition B would "open up loopholes developers can use to avoid environmental regulations.

That's an interesting argument. Also interesting: Prop. B is staunchly backed by the Sierra Club. The "community advocate" in this broadside against it is a longtime executive with PG&E and an energy industry consultant.

Two City College students who say they were hurt by police during a March 13 protest on campus have filed a complaint against the university and then made this video explaining exactly what went down that day.

The chaotic scene broke out when a throng of students gathered at campus to protest the possible closure of the community college. Police descended upon the protesters, arresting a handful of them and pepper spraying others. The students, who were demanding the resignation of Robert Agrella, the special trustee installed last July to run the school in the wake of its closure, barricaded themselves, staying the night inside Conlan Hall.

Now, two of the students who claimed the cops roughed them up during the protest are suing both the County of San Francisco and the community college district, the Ex reports.

Mario Hernandez was, these days, a very excited man. He was also happy -- because he was perennially happy. "He was always smiling. He was always laughing," recalls friend Manuel Mendoza. "He always had something funny to say, even if things weren't funny."

Hernandez was a talker. An animated guy. So Mendoza was all the more jolted this morning when he motored down Valencia. There was his friend Hernandez, prone on the sidewalk, being cradled by strangers. Mendoza ditched his truck and ran to help, but it was too late.

The 911 call came in at 8:45.

Three years have passed since Bryan Stow was beaten nearly to death by two Dodgers fans in the team's stadium parking lot, in what's become one of the most flagrant manifestations of a deep-seated Giants-Dodgers rivalry.

Stow, a father of two and loyal Giants fan, still faces mounting medical bills for the skull and brain injuries he sustained during that attack, which could cost more than $50 million, all told. He's suing former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt to help cover the cost, alleging that McCourt failed to provide adequate security for the 2011 season home opener.

Jury selection for the civil suit begins in Los Angeles Superior Court today, three months after Rialto residents Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez pled guilty to the attack.

It was a violent Memorial Day in San Francisco where two people were stabbed at a construction site and three others were shot during a drive-by shooting yesterday.

At about 2 p.m., police responded to Geary Boulevard and Larkin Street regarding a double stabbing. Police say a homeless man was urinating in public at a construction site where two workers were on the job. The construction workers asked the man to zip it up and leave.
