San Francisco police say they've caught the man who gunned down 23-year-old Derrick Whitfield earlier at a Potrero Hill housing complex earlier this week.

On May 21, homicide detectives arrested 27-year-old 27-year-old Rodney Williams, and booked him into San Francisco County Jail on homicide charges.

On May 20, police responded to a shot spotter activation on the unit block of Turner Terrace at about 9 p.m. When police arrived, they found Whitfield, a Mission High School graduate, with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives got some information that led them to Williams. However, police say this is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at (415) 553-1145 or you can leave an anonymous tip at (415) 575-444.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
