If you've recovered from that lingering cough and general weather-related malaise (allergies), then nothing should stop you from your three-day weekend of barbecue and boozing.

We've told you this a million times, which still doesn't seem like enough: if you're going to get shitfaced this Memorial Day weekend, don't bother driving.

If you don't care to listen to us, that's fine, but you should at least care about the fact that starting Friday night, a bajillion cops will be swarming the roadways looking to bust your drunk ass.

Take note: there will be DUI saturation patrols throughout San Francisco on May 23 from 8 p.m. for 4 a.m. and again on May 24, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. There will also be a DUI/Driver's license checkpoint at an undisclosed location.

Per the SFPD:

Along with warm weather and start of the vacation season, it's also the season for college and high school graduations. With so many reasons for celebrations, law enforcement is sending two messages: 1) don't drink and drive, nor ride with someone who has been drinking, and 2) extra officers will be working to stop and arrest those who drive impaired.

So here's what you need to do if you plan on drinking this weekend:

  • Plan ahead. We know this is hard for you procrastinators, but it's not like we're asking you to solve world hunger. We're asking you to arrange rides home for your friends, family, co-workers, and yourself before the drinking begins.

  • If you're hosting a party you really need to limit the number of drinks you serve to guests. Don't serve more than two over several hours, or don't do more than one keg stand in a night.

  • Know who the designated driver is. After you've identified them, make sure the only buzz they have is from sugar. Provide them with all non-alcoholic drinks -- and keep 'em coming. Also, there are some tasty mocktail recipes the cops have dreamed up.

  • Now if you are the Designated Driver, download all those special Smartphone apps that make you the VIP, with free non-alcoholic drinks and other freebies.

  • Provide more food than alcohol. Consume more food than alcohol.

  • And lastly, if you see dangerous driving, call 911.

Good luck!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
