If you've recovered from that lingering cough and general weather-related malaise (allergies), then nothing should stop you from your three-day weekend of barbecue and boozing.
We've told you this a million times, which still doesn't seem like enough: if you're going to get shitfaced this Memorial Day weekend, don't bother driving.
If you don't care to listen to us, that's fine, but you should at least care about the fact that starting Friday night, a bajillion cops will be swarming the roadways looking to bust your drunk ass.
Take note: there will be DUI saturation patrols throughout San Francisco on May 23 from 8 p.m. for 4 a.m. and again on May 24, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. There will also be a DUI/Driver's license checkpoint at an undisclosed location.
Per the SFPD:
Along with warm weather and start of the vacation season, it's also the season for college and high school graduations. With so many reasons for celebrations, law enforcement is sending two messages: 1) don't drink and drive, nor ride with someone who has been drinking, and 2) extra officers will be working to stop and arrest those who drive impaired.
