This afternoon an alarmingly loud noise was heard at San Francisco General Hospital and the source of the sound is speculative. At 1:29 p.m., UC San Francisco reported that shots had been fired at building 1 on the third and fourth floors. However, Rachael Kagan, spokeswoman for San Francisco General Hospital could not confirm that the hospital was on lockdown. "All I know is that a loud noise was heard in one of the out buildings and it's currently being investigated," Kagan said. The San Francisco Police Department arrived at the scene and were able to spot a suspect. UC San Francisco later tweeted that the suspect has been spotted and is running down 22nd street.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
