Your discomfort and overall disdain for BART will come to a screeching halt -- sometime in the future, but not right now.

After extensive surveys and discussions with riders, BART has unveiled what its future train cars will look like and feel like.

Here are just a few highlights:

  • Micro-plug doors will help seal out noise, which means it won't sound like a roller coaster derailing as you ride through the Transbay Tube

  • Cooling systems will distribute air directly to the ceilings, making it more comfortable for standees on hot days.

  • Padded seats will have lumbar support and will be covered with wipeable fabric, making it easy to clean. In short: that fecal matter won't soak in.

  • And finally, there will be color-coded routes like the BART system map, including "next stop" information that will be available via automated announcements and digital screens. That should help lost tourists and maybe even drunk Bay Area riders.

There will also be more space for bikes.

BART is inviting everyone to come check out the new model during10 events between April 16 and May 9. You can walk through the new trains and give your feedback. It's the final chance to say what you want before the transit agency starts manufacturing them.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
