If you missed out on the very rare occasion of thunder and lightening blowing up trees in the Bay Area yesterday, you just might get a second chance today.
According to the National Weather Service, there'll be another round of rain and possibly thunder later today, with gusty winds and even some hail. The latest stormfront has brought cold temperatures along, so expect a high of 57 degrees.
Another bout of thunder and rain could hit again tonight before 11 p.m., followed by heavy wind and more hail. If you prefer white noise when you sleep, expect a good slumber tonight.
If you're an inexperienced boater or a pilot of a small aircraft, here's Mother Nature's (and the government's) advice to you: don't operate boats and planes today. The National Weather Service issued an alert this morning warning of high winds through the evening that will make it dangerous for traversing the waters.
Per the NWS:
A small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating small vessels should avoid navigating these conditions.
We're no weather experts, but we'll go ahead and extend that advisory to surfers, swimmers, and parasailers.
Things will start clearing up a bit by Thursday you might see some sunshine, but only briefly before the rain returns a third time this week.
