Did You See That Hydrant Spewing 75 Feet of Water This Morning?

Posted By on Tue, Mar 25, 2014 at 7:32 AM

When we warned you that it was to get really wet in San Francisco today, we didn't mean this.

According to press reports, a taxi cab crashed into the fire hydrant just before 1 a.m. at Hyde and O'Farrell streets. But it wasn't exactly the cabbie's fault.

ABC News reports that an allegedly drunk driver hit the taxi cab who in turn hit the geyser, causing the 75-foot fountain in the city's Tenderloin District. Nobody was injured, however, the driver of the car, not the taxi, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
