San Franciscans Lose Their Shit Over Driver's Annoying Car Alarm

Posted By on Mon, Mar 3, 2014 at 2:46 PM

If you asked us, since its inception, the audible car alarm has been about as useless as diet water, pet rocks, or the two-person sweatshirt.

No, we don't have scientific proof of all that, but what we do have are enough anecdotes like the one above (which we spotted on Reddit on Monday), illustrating once again that the only thing your car alarm will do right is torment the entire neighborhood with its nagging noise.

Who knows if the above San Francisco driver actually dodged any car crooks with that skittish alarm. What we do know for sure is that the mysterious driver is definitely driving the wrong kind of people the right amount of crazy.

Update: Apparently, the image which resurfaced yesterday on Reddit was taken back in 2003. A decade later, it's still relevant and damn funny!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
