San Francisco police say they have nabbed four people who they believe are responsible for the murder of 49-year-old Hung Huynh who was killed during a home invasion robbery last winter.
On Nov. 5, 2013, police were called out to the unit block of Yale Street in the city's Bayview neighborhood after people living with Huynh found his body inside the house. Initially, police were not sure if they were dealing with a homicide, but the Medical Examiner's Office quickly determined that Huynh was a victim of foul play.
Police wouldn't say exactly how Huynh died, but confirmed he had not been shot.
On Feb. 19, homicide investigators arrested 25-year-old Nestor Torres and 21-year-old Blanca Torres, both from Oakland. Three days later, SFPD patrol officers arrested 24-year-old Clifton Thomas, of San Francisco, as he was walking through Visitation Valley. Later that same night, homicide investigators arrested 34-year-old Jasmine Ward, also a San Francisco resident. All four were charged with homicide, burglary, and robbery.
Anyone who witnessed the crime or who has any information about it should contact SFPD anonymously at (415) 575- 4444 or Text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.
