Angry Protesters Attack Uber Car in Paris

Uber rang in the New Year with a spate of bad publicity, starting with CEO Travis Kalanick's widely parodied surge pricing apologia, and ramping up after one of the company's drivers-for-hire fatally hit a 6 year-old girl in the Tenderloin.

Now, staff on the company's home turf can console themselves with one pitiful reminder: They don't live in Paris.

That's where the local cabbies are expressing their resentment by vandalizing the contracted car fleets -- smashing windows, slashing tires, and assaulting them.
