Have you noticed that it's cold out there? Well, it is -- and it's not going to get warm anytime soon.

A cold freeze has hit the Bay Area and beyond -- my sister just texted me that it is snowing at her house in Ukiah, which is just two hours north of San Francisco.

And for the Bay Area, the National Weather Service issued a weather advisory for the East Bay Hills and Santa Cruz Mountains for late tonight and Saturday when two-to-four inches of snow are expected for elevations above 2,500 ft. Roads will be snowy and slushy, so be careful. As the storm moves south, those of you living at elevations of 2,000 feet just might see some snowflakes.

For those living in the lower elevations, expect cold rain tonight with temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

Then on Sunday, it's going to get what we like to call Super Cold, everywhere in the Bay Area, except San Francisco. There will be a freeze warning in effect between 2 am. and 9 a.m. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Over on the coast, where it's generally cold even on hot days, temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s, and sub-freezing weather is very likely.

Coincidentally, this latest freeze warning starts right when the bars close. Which brings us to the whole point of this story: try not to pass out on the way home, because it's going to be a deadly kind of cold out there.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
