Timothy Chase will appear in court this afternoon to answer to felony assault charges after allegedly kicking a homeless woman as she slept along Third Street in downtown San Francisco.

Police say it was 28-year-old Chase who was seen on surveillance video the morning of Nov. 6; he allegedly walked past the sleeping woman, stopped, turned around and stomped on her head repeatedly.

The video was first aired by KTVU, and only then did police open an investigation.

Sgt. Danielle Newman last week said that police received multiple tips which helped them identify both the victim and the suspect. On Friday, police went to Chase's house in Oakland where they spoke to him about the assault. He was subsequently arrested and charged with seven counts of aggravated assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Police are not releasing his mugshot at this time, pending identification issues. But here's the video of the appalling incident:

We'll keep you posted on Chase's future.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
