Update 2:49 p.m.: Mindy Talmadge, spokeswoman for the Fire Department, tells us that several buildings were damaged by this afternoon's fire, however, there were no injuries. The fire started in a residential building which housed two flats, located at 1460 and 1448 Valencia Street. A building to the left and two building to the right of the fire were also damaged, including a pilates studio and other residential units. Talmadge had no idea if any residents were home at the time, but said some people have been displaced by the fire. The blaze was extinguished as of 2:02 p.m

Original story 1:40 p.m.: We're getting word that about 100 firefighters are battling a huge blaze in the city's Mission District.

Mindy Talmadge, spokeswoman for the Fire Department, was on her way to the scene at 26th and Poplar street when we spoke with her. She didn't have much information at this time, but said there are "several buildings involved."

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
