A San Francisco cyclist is being treated for unknown injuries this morning after colliding with a taxi driver in the city's Polk Gulch neighborhood.

Officer Gordon Shyy had very little information at this time, but says the accident happened at about 7:23 a.m. when the cyclist and taxi cab collided at Bush and Polk streets. Paramedics are at the scene, treating the cyclist for his injuries.

Police were unable to say how extensive his injuries are, but they confirmed the cyclist is expected to survive.

The investigation is just beginning. We'll update you when we have more information.
