Posted By on Mon, Oct 7, 2013 at 10:29 AM

An unidentified man is in critical condition today after he was viciously attacked near Union Square this weekend.

According to police, a witness called the cops at about 11:45 p.m. on Friday after seeing three men beating the victim -- and possibly robbing him. When police arrived at the scene, located at Bush and Stockton streets, the caller had disappeared, but officers found the victim on the ground unconscious and bleeding from the ears.

The victim, only identified as a 45-50-year-old "John Doe," was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with a traumatic head injury. His condition is life-threatening, said Officer Gordon Shyy.

Police have no suspects at this time and ask that if you saw the incident or have information to please call the cops at 575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at start of message.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
