Cyclist Killed in Big Rig Collision

A woman in her 30s died this morning after colliding with a big rig at about 7 a.m. today.

According to Sgt. Dennis Toomer, the woman, who has not been identified, was cycling at Sixth and Folsom streets when the accident happened. She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She has since died.

Police closed off Sixth Street at Folsom and Howard streets as well as Seventh and Folsom streets while investigators collected evidence.

At this time, all streets are now open.
