A San Francisco man was killed Monday afternoon as he sat inside his car parked in the city's Bayview neighborhood.

Officer Gordon Shyy says police were called at about 3:32 p.m. on reports of a shooting on the 1300 block of Thomas Ave. When police arrived, they found the 31-year-old had been shot once in the head and once in the chest.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have no more information about the incident and no arrests have been made. The Medical Examiner's Office is still trying to determine the man's identity.

It's the city's eighth homicide this year.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
