Hanren Chang Identified as Teen Killed by Alleged Drunk Driver

Update: According to Lowell High School officials, the victim's name is Hanren Chang. She was a junior at Lowell.

Original Story: San Francisco police arrested a 29-year-old man Saturday night after he allegedly killed a 17-year-old girl as she walked along Sloat Boulevard.

Officer Gordon Shyy tells us that 17-year-old Henren Hanren Chang was walking at Sloat and Vale Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. when 29-year-old Kieran Brewer hit the girl, injuring her head and her leg.

Chang was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where she later died.

Brewer, who remained at the scene, was arrested for felony drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
