Seth Myers Accused of Killing Daniel Colon on MLK Day

Less than 24 hours after 43-year-old Daniel Colon and his cousin were gunned down near Crocker Amazon, police arrested a man in connection with the MLK Day shootings.

Officer Gordon Shyy says that investigators were tipped off to a house on Rolph Street, not far from where the shooting happened, where they found their suspect, 32-year-old Seth Myers. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Police wouldn't reveal details about the homicide, or the evidence that linked them to Myers.

On Monday just after midnight, Colon and his cousin, whom the Chronicle identified as Andrew Colon, were out celebrating the 49ers victory when they were shot while on the1100 block of Naples Street. Daniel Colon, who had an 11-year-old son, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Andrew was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The case remains under investigation, and anyone with additional information regarding

the shooting is asked to contact Inspector Robert Velarde, Sgt. Scott Warnke, or Sgt. Kyra Delaney of the Homicide Detail at 553-1145, or the Department Operation Center after hours at 553-1071.
