(Update Oct. 8): President Obama has landed in San Francisco and is reportedly on his way to dinner and a show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium tonight. According to press reports, the dinner, which costs $20K per person, will be prepared by

celebrity chefs Alice Waters and Tyler Florence. Afterward, musicians John Legend and Michael Franti will perform for the president.

(Original story Oct. 7): So you made it through the weekend's Transitpocalypse. Consider yourself an expert on clusterfucks, which means you should have no problem trying to get around town tomorrow when the President drops by San Francisco.

Yep, the traffic nightmare continues come Monday.

Obama reportedly lands is Los Angeles today where he's hoping to shake down those SoCal Democrats one last time before heading to San Francisco on Monday and shaking us down one last time before the election.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Obama is hosting three fundraising events in San Francisco, because, well, the President "need[s] every last dollar" to wage an aggressive campaign against Mitt Romney, according to his aides. We don't expect the president will leave here empty-handed -- and neither does his campaign, which is predicting the president will rake in some $9 million from the five California events.

That seems about right, considering tickets to see Obama in San Francisco will cost you somewhere between $20,000 and a reporter's salary.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
