To cap off a week of nonstop cock ring controversy, our sister blog the Exhibitionist received a polite e-mail informing the editor about the latest news on nudity.
As it turns out, art is imitating life (in the Castro, that is) with this new play debuting Friday, appropriately called The Buck Naked Church of Truth.

The play is one of seven short performances, part
of "Family Programming" from Left Coast Theatre Company.
According to an e-mail by the playwright, James A. Martin, The Buck Naked Church of Truth centers
on a young, gay Castro resident who "unexpectedly runs into his father,
who is visiting S.F. from the Midwest and doesn't know his son is a
nudist. The explosive, hilarious encounter pushes the father, who sees
himself as a liberal, to confront his real boundaries for tolerance and
acceptance."
The Buck Naked Church of Truth starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 (and continues through Oct. 13), at Shelton Theater, 533 Sutter (at Powell). Admission is $15-$20.
