Taxi driver allegedly hit man
Police identified the 38-year-old man who was killed Saturday night after a taxi allegedly blew a red light as Edmund Capalla.
Capalla was walking in a crosswalk on Eddy and Larkin streets when the cabbie ran a red light, hit another car, and spun out before hitting the man, said Officer Albie Esparza.
Capalla was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died.
The District Attorney's Office has not yet decided whether to file charges against the cabbie.
