Update (10:02 a.m.): Police confirmed this morning that Hopkins' death was a homicide.

Authorities have identified the man whose body was found behind a row of homes in Diamond Heights yesterday as 18-year-old Elijah Hopkins.

Press reports say police were called to Carnelian Way, a dead-end street off Diamond Heights Boulevard, yesterday afternoon after a neighbor discovered the bloody body in a concrete drainage gully.

Sunday evening, police inspectors were still investigating the brush and hillside behind the homes, trying to piece together what happened to Hopkins, who had gunshot wounds to his body.

Neighbors told ABC News that they heard what they thought were gunshots around 11 p.m. on Saturday, however, they dismissed the loud noise as fireworks.

At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, another resident in the complex who was taking care of some landscaping came across the body and called police.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
