Older Man Shot Last Night in the Tenderloin

A 61-year-old man is in critical condition today after he was shot in the leg while standing in the Tenderloin last night.

Officer Gordon Shyy says the unidentified Asian man was standing on the sidewalk near the 300 block of Hyde when heard several gunshots. He looked down and realized one of those bullets had hit him in the leg, police said.

The victim saw three suspects run from the scene and hop into a dark-colored SUV.

The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspects were were described as men in their 20s or 30s.
