Update (2:55 p.m.): The medical examiner has identified the victim in last night's crash as Rick Scheuer.

Original story (9:01 a.m.): A 54-year-old man was killed on Independence Day as he rode through the city's Richmond District, police said.

Officer Gordon Shyy says the man, who has not yet been identified, was on his motorcycle riding along Park Presidio at Fulton Street when he turned a curve and hit a car in the lane next to him. The man was thrown from his motorcycle and flew over the hood of the car.

The man was then run over by the car, according to Shyy.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
