Antonio Gilton and Alfonso Williams Also Arrested in Connection With Pimp's Murder

Two more men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Compton pimp in San Francisco last month.

Antonio Gilton and Alfonso Williams pleaded not guilty today on charges of murder, conspiracy to murder, possession of firearms, and discharge from an occupied vehicle, according to the District Attorney's Office.

The two men were arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Calvin Sneed, a pimp and member of the Nutty Block Crips gang, who was shot as he drove through the Bayview on June 4. Four days later, Lupe Mercado, 37, and Barry Gilton, 38, were arrested on suspicion of murdering the man they say was pimping out their 17-year-old daughter in Los Angeles.

The parents remain in prison in lieu of paying their $2 million bail.

As the Chron notes, investigators say Barry Gilton met up with Antonio Gilton and Williams an hour before Sneed was shot, according to a court document signed by San Francisco police Sgt. William Braconi. Williams allegedly provided a .40-caliber pistol, and all three men then drove in one car and waited for Sneed at the intersection of Meade and Le Conte avenues where he was shot.

Police claim Barry Gilton, who is reportedly a cousin of Antonio Gilton, shot Sneed in the head as he drove by at 2 a.m. in his Toyota Camry. Sneed's car crashed into a parked vehicle on the street.

The District Attorney does not yet know how the four defendants are related.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
