Man Killed in Ingleside; Homicide No. 38

An unidentified man was shot to death early this morning, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Police were called to the corner of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Howth Street at about 12:20 a.m. on reports of a shooting. The victim died at the scene, according to press reports.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The shooting marks the city's 38th homicide this year. Last week, 27-year-old Tony Harper was killed in a double shooting in the city's Bayview neighborhood on Friday night.
