We can't help but note that it's really sad when a fifth-grader has to explain basic things, such as love and life, to Republicans, like that nut-job pastor in North Carolina.
We were impressed as we watched Kameron Slade break down the issue of gay marriage for everyone in this compelling class speech he delivered on why gays should be allowed to marry, and why schools should teach kids about it.
By the way, he won his class speaking competition with this speech.
How sweet, adorable, and spot-on!
Sadly, Slade was prepared to deliver his wise words to students during a school-wide
competition, but his principal stopped him, saying he could not give a speech on such an "inappropriate" topic. Still, his principal hasn't been able to stop people from viewing Slade's poignant speech, which has now gone viral on YouTube.
So kudos to Slade for already becoming a national leader, even before entering junior high.
