Kenneth Lyon Identified as Man Killed in SOMA; Homicide No. 22

(Update 12:01 p.m.): The Medical Examiner has identified the man who was stabbed last night as 42-year-old Kenneth Lyon of San Francisco. Police arrested Clenny Thierry, 52, on suspicion of stabbing him to death.

(Update: 9:59 a.m.): Sgt Daryl Fong tells us that police have arrested a 52-year-old man in connection to the stabbing.

(Original post 8:42 a.m.): A 42-year-old man was stabbed to death last night as he sat outside a fast food restaurant in San Francisco's SOMA neighborhood, making it the city's 22nd homicide this year.

San Francisco police had very few details to share at this time, but SF Appeal reports that the stabbing happened at about 6:30 p.m. on the 1200 block of Howard Street.  

The Medical Examiner's Office told us that the victim has been identified, but would not release his name until they notify his family.
